USERNAME & PASSWORD HELP
What to do if you can't log in...

We really take a lot of time to take care of our customers and support. To be able to better help you let us try to explain your username & password a little better, and give you an easy log-in procedure that can be tried to access our members area.

PLEASE READ FIRST!
How to place your mouse cursor in a text area
You may place your mouse cursor in any text area (area where you can type) by placing your mouse cursor over it and clicking there with the left mouse button.

How to select text from a document
You may select text from any document (such as an email or a page on the world wide web) with your mouse cursor. When text is selected, you are able to copy that selected text to your PC's (Personal Computer) clipboard memory, so you can paste the text in a different document (read about copy & paste in the next paragraph). When you have selected text in a document, it will invert color and turn blue (or a different color depending on your computer's settings)

Copying & pasting is not only an easy way to re-use text without typing, it also assures you that you are re-using that text without errors or changes (we will use this in the procedure below for your username & password).

Combination keys CTRL+C and CTRL+V (copy & paste)
A brief explanation about combination of keys in Windows, because we will use two key combinations in the following log-in procedure. CTRL+C (CTRL key and the letter C) is a combination that will copy selected text to your PC's memory (also called clipboard). CTRL+V (CTRL key and the letter V) is a combination of two keys, that will paste the selected text (earlier copied with CTRL+C) from your PC's memory to the exact spot where you have placed your cursor. To make a combination of keys keep holding down the CTRL key, and then press the C or V key.

Difference between lower and UPPER case
Let's take the word 'hello' as example. In this example 'hello' is all lower case and 'HELLO' is all uppercase. 'HeLLo' would be a mixture of both upper and lower case. The log-in system makes a difference between upper and lower case! Example: username is not the same as USERNAME for the system.

GETTING STARTED ...
Explanation & your (operating) system
We suggest that you precisely follow the log-in procedure below, to ensure you are able to log in to the members area. We tried to explain this procedure as detailed as possible, so that even a first time PC user will be able to understand it. This procedure applies when you are using a PC with Windows 95/98/2000 as operating system, not a Macintosh or for WebTV users.

Use the correct browser to get the most out of the web
To see the best and enjoy the most of today's World Wide Web, we strongly suggest you have Internet Explorer 4 (or Netscape 4) or later versions, installed as your default web browser. Even when using AOL, we suggest using or installing Internet Explorer and not using the AOL browser because of it's limitations.

Tip:
If you don't know how to install a browser (or a regular program) onto your computer, or you are unsure about which browser, browser version, or operating system you are using, ask a friend to help you!

LOG-IN PROCEDURE (4 STEPS)

STEP 1
First select your username with your left mouse button (do not selected blank or empty spaces) from the email you received during signup. When your username is correctly selected, it should invert color and turn a different color (blue). Press the CTRL + C keys combination to copy your username...

STEP 2
Now go to https://latino-caliente.com/members/ by clicking this link and the log-in window will appear. Put your cursor into the username field, and press CTRL + V to paste your username - do NOT hit enter, or do not click OK yet - but come back to this page. If your username does not appear in the username field (i.e.: it stays blank) you probably have not correctly copied & pasted your username, try step 1 and 2 again until your username is shown in the username field of the log-in window.

TIP
Make sure there are no blank spaces before or after your username in the username field!

STEP 3
Select your password from the email you received during signup with your left mouse button (again, do not select any blank spaces!). When your password is correctly selected it should invert color and turn a different color (blue). Press the CTRL + C keys combination again, to copy your password ...

STEP 4
Return to the other browser window where the log-in screen is still  open. Put your cursor into the blank password field, and press CTRL + V to paste your password. If exactly 8 little stars appear (please count them to verify), you have correctly pasted your password (It should look like this: ********), if it does not, please repeat step 3 and 4 until you have 8 stars in the password field. Read the tip below. Now click the OK button or press the ENTER key, and you will be taken into the members area!

TIP
If you are using Internet Explorer, and an option appears below the password field ("Save this password in your password list") in your log-in window, you are advised to enable that option (put a little V - a check mark in the box by clicking it with your left mouse button). Next time you enter our site's members area your browser will remember your username and password, and you will not have to enter it again.

FINAL NOTE
If this procedure does not work, and you still are unable to access the members area of our site, it probably means that your username & password are not working properly (i.e.: they are invalid) , or your membership has expired (end of subscription, credit card declined, etc ...) and your username & password were de-activated. Please contact the webmaster if you still have questions.
